Road to Ironman - Week 5

Another week passed and I am feeling stronger every training I finish. I had two awesome runs this week where I aimed on a 5 min/km and I just nailed it :)

My heart rate fell from 170ish to something between 150 and 160 which is quite good. I didn't have a long bike ride this week like one the week before but all in all I can feel how my form improves.

I am experimenting with different things I eat during the trainings just to make sure I won't make mistakes when it counts.

Now that the first month is over it's time to ramp up the volume of work slowly by 10% each week this month. I hope to be able to cross the Ironman swim distance of 3.8 km this month (to infinity and beyond :))

Despite it being a slower week on the bike I am still pretty cool with my results because of the cold and wind which will cause problems now throughout the next 3 or 4 months but I guess I just have to push through :)
