Road to Ironman - Week 33

I love when the week gest better as it progresses. Last week I did pretty much anything I wanted. I had two smaller bike/run bricks, two 3 km swims, one long run and one long bike ride.

It all averaged to around 230 km and 12 hours spent training.

My times are somewhere in the area I would like them to be but because of fatigue and other things out of my control (traffic, weather etc.) I am still trying to hit the sweet spot.

I got myself some new running shoes which are fantastic (I still feel a little to much pressure here and there but this should all be fine within the next few days). In fact, I felt so good in them that I ended up running for 2:15 hours and covered 26.22 km at a moderate pace and my legs were almost as fresh as at the beginning (I guess I could have pushed more but since I didn't want to get blisters from the new shoes I was more on the conservative side).

My long ride was a little shorter then I planed since the road conditions weren't the best (wet road and strange wind from every direction). I ended up doing 120 km instead of 160 km but that's also nice :)

This week I'll be attending a wedding on the island of Lošinj so I'll take my wetsuit and try it out in the wild for the first time.

I hope I'll stay afloat :)
