It's time! This is the bread-and-butter month for me. I'll be pushing myself as far as I can in order to be as ready as I can be for the big day.
I did some very good training with two longer swims (one 3 km and another 3.8 km) which weren't the fastest times ever recorder by I am aiming for something like a 2:00 per 100 meters or somewhere in the neighborhood of 1:15 for the swim so I guess it's all god for now. I always have to take the pool situation into account as well since it can get quite hard to do a quality training when there are 3-4 more people in the lane with you.
My running suffered a little bit because of some stupid pain in my right knee so I had to take things a little easier then I would have loved but you have to work with what you get.
My cycling last week was just awesome. I did two longish rides during the week (40 km and 60 km) and then topped it all of with a nice 160 km ride with 3100 meters of total ascend (!!!) which took me 6 hours and 30 minutes to complete which is quite a decent time.
I am really happy with how the week turned out and am looking forward to the next one since I finally got myself some new running shoes so I hope to get my running up a little bit.
Let's look at the numbers and enjoy the rest of the week:
Distance | Time | Pace | |
---|---|---|---|
Swim | 6.8 km | 2:35:00 | 2:15 min / 100 m |
Bike | 260.29 km | 10:06:15 h | 2:19 min / km |
Run | 23.54 km | 2:02:36 h | 5:12 min / km |
Almost 15 hours in training last week. I could have been more if there wasn't the bad knee but I won't complain (to much ;) )
Overall I have crossed the 3000 km mark and am now aiming for 4000.
To infinity... and beyond!
Distance | Time | |
---|---|---|
Swim | 132.30 km | 51:27:00 h |
Bike | 2703.05 km | 117:19:52 h |
Run | 575.40 km | 50:22:45 h |
Until next week, stay awesome :)
