Book challenge, week 31

Last week I moved into the realm of spies and government plots. Vince Flynn’s The Third Option was an awesome change of pace

It a story about Mitch Rapp, a highly trained counter-terrorism operative employed by the CIA. Some think of him as the best man in his field. One of his achievements was ending a hostage crisis in the White House, pretty much on his own. His latest assignment was the assassination of Heinrich Hagenmiller V, a powerful German who was suspected to sell sensitive equipment to terrorists.

While finishing the job some things didn’t go as planed (at least not Mitch’s) and he ends up fighting his way back to Washington and seeking the truth behind the job. There he will see all kinds of fights inside Washington where politicians try to gain as much as possible without thinking twice if some life need to be ended premature.

It’s a fast paced book with a lot of twists and turns which will keep you busy throughout the book.

I give this book a 9/10 only because the end was a little strange (unfinished) but I am looking forward to some other adventures of Mitch Rapp.

Until then, try to make a difference
