Book challenge, book 44 and 45

Two more books in this batch!

The first one is Death by Hollywood by Steven Bochco.

It’s a story about Bobby Newman, a screenwriter in Hollywood, who’s life is taking a turn for the worse. His marriage is falling apart, his career is going nowhere and he drinks more and more to forget about all his problems.

One day he uses his expensive electronic telescope to spy on neighbours when he catches a woman making love to a actor named Ramon. The pleasure starts getting ugly when they get into a fight. At one point the woman hits the actor with a trophy on his head and kills him. All this in front of Bobby’s lens.

He decides to take this to a new level by using this as an inspiration for his new script. Everything starts to get complicated when he joins the investigation team and gets dragged in more then he wanted.

It’s a nice story with a lot of action going on so I give it an 8/10 and recommend this to anyone interested in crime

The next book is a biography by my hero Bear Grylls called Mud, Sweat and Tears.

This book tells the whole story of his life, his childhood, his time in the army, Mt. Everest and much more.

I really enjoyed the book because he walks you through his life in a nice and casual way. He let’s you know how much influence his father had on him. He doesn’t shy away from admitting to have failed it the first time out when he wanted to join the SAS as well as his problems, doubts and fears while climbing to the top of the world.

I love all his books and recommend them to anyone interested in adventure and give it a 10/10. I am sure this won’t be the last book I read from this extraordinary man.

There are just a few more books to go till the end of the year so I have to get back behind the pages

Happy reading!
