Book challenge, book 35

Hey again! I have switched from naming the posts from weeks to books because I am one book behind and don’t won’t to be misleading

The last book read was The Scarpetta Factor by Patricia Cornwell.

I tried to read this book a few times but it was a slow starter so I put it assied the same number of times. This time after finishing my power (speed) reading course (on this subject next time) I gave it a shot and finished the book.

It all starts with the finding of a body in New York’s Central Park close before Christmas. Dr. Kay Scarpetta was assigned the case and things imediatly start to look strange. After a full autopsy some things didn’t really fall into place when the time of death was compared to some footage taken from the park.

While working as a senior forensics analyst for CNN she started to gain popularity and things start to take a bad turn for her own life as well.

Everything is well written and thought through and it was a really nice read but something was missing for me. I guess that it was just the overall story which sounded somewhat familiar (a CSI style plot) and I really didn’t like some of the computer terms used in the book (again CSI style fancy pants phrases).

How the book ends may remain a mistery for you if you don’t read this book

I give this book an 8/10 and am looking forward to another book with Kay

Until next time, try to make a difference.
