Another trifecta report. Life is crazy so updates are rare at the moment.
It was more of the same honestly and nothing really exciting going on but the fact that I feel great on the long days.
I ride 4+ hours with ease and my training plan has even some 40-ish minute efforts split into smaller chunks built into it so that I am really confident about my bike form.
My long runs are also now deep into the 2 hours and I am getting really close to running 30k in training which is nuts! I even do some long runs while pushing my twins around and managed to run 26k with them in 2 hours and 15 minutes.
These things are a real confidence boost and I can’t wait for the race.
The only thing I need to improve a bit is my swimming. I have to be more constant again because I miss a swim here or there but at the same time try to make up for it with rowing at home. Even with all that I am still well ahead of where I was at peak fitness on my last full distance so I think that things there move also in a good direction.
Weight is getting down close to my desired race weight so I hope I can ditch those last few kilograms and get my body fat a little lower to be as efficient as possible when the gun goes off.
Swim | Bike | Run | Strenght | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Distance | 8.3 (91.4) | 325.2 (2403.0) | 98.4 (699.1) | - |
Time | 2:58 (29:31) | 14:06 (104:26) | 8:03 (58:31) | 4:00 (33:20) |
Skipped | 13/52 | 5/69 | 6/71 | 0/52 |
Values in brackets show totals (bike distance is probably wrong because I keep having problems with my speed senson on the trainer)
One more week and then I can start recovering. It’s getting harder now with my job and other stuff in life to find time to train and even harder to be ready and motivated to push hard but I can see the start line getting closer so I’ll keep pushing and get ready to crush it.
Until next time,
Stay healthy
