Last push before the recovery week!"
Another great week is in the books and I am a little puzzled by how good it goes while feeling I am training less than in 2019 when I went to Klagenfurt for the first time.
I started out with another speed brick session on Monday and the hour and 40 minutes just flew by in an instant.
The swim on Tuesday was another amazing one. I started with 2 x 400 meters easy followed immediately by a 50 meter sprint. I am swimming those 400 easy now in a time that’s a few seconds slower than my all out speed 2 months ago. Unfortunately, I missed one swim on Friday but I’ll make up for it this week with an additional easy session.
I usually, don’t do do-overs but since it’s a swim and I’ll be swimming only 2000 meters it won’t hurt me.
My mistake on the bike from last week where I didn’t take in enough calories was fixed this week so I could keep it steady at around 200W for 3 hours and 20 minutes with a quick 15 minute run after it.
I am also pretty close to running a half marathon in training again :) I ran for 1 hour and 40 minutes on Thursday and covered 19.5 kilometers! I just love seeing all those improvements!
I finished the week with some zone 2 biking and a quick 30 minute interval session with strength/stretching sessions sprinkled during the week.
With every week passing I am more and more confident I will knock the race out of the park and go deep into the 9 hours field.
6 more months to go!
Weight is going down again while my muscle mass is close to 80%. Now with all holidays out of the way it should be easy to push the weight down in the next 2 months to my goal race weight.

Now I am going for a recovery week to be able to push even harder the week after. Who knows, maybe I run a half marathon on the treadmill then :)
Until then,
Stay healthy
