Another week another book This time it was Patricia Cornwell’s Cause of Death.
This books starts of with a diver named Ted Eddings dying under strange circumstances. Kay Scarpetta who is a Chief Medical Examiner was assigned to investigate the case. While doing the autopsy she recognized the smell of cyanide and knew that Ted’s death wasn’t an accident. The investigation will lead her to things she couldn’t even imagine.
It was a nice book but the whole story was a bit disconnected in my opinion. First everything was about the diver, then everything changed to other things which left me jumping from one story to another without having a lot of connections between them. It was like reading a few shorter stories which were patched to one while attempting to make it a uniform story.
I don’t say that it’s not a good book but some of the things (i.e. the application of virtual reality) were a little to stretched.
I give this book a 7/10 because I couldn’t really dive into the book and because of the somewhat tasteless ending.
Until next week, keep smiling
