My first week of real training for the 2015 Ironman in Nice went of great and then stalled a bit at the end because I went to a quite awesome conference. I am making great progress in my swim trainings and am feeling quite good in the running exercises.
I did only 4 out of 6 trainings last week but I like to think of this as a just an occasional thing. I really enjoy switching sports and am looking forward to next month when I am going to start combining two parts of the triathlon in sequence :)
My first month of training will look like this:
• Monday – 1 hour swim
• Tuesday – 1 hour cycle
• Wednesday - DAY OFF
• Thursday – 45 to 60 min. run
• Friday – 1 hour swim
• Saturday – 60 min. run
• Sunday – 2 to 3 hour cycle
I hope to be able to stick to the plan as close as possible but will modify it along the way if needed.
Anyway, here are my shy results from last week in an aggregated form:
Distance | Time | Pace | |
---|---|---|---|
Swim | 4.75 km | 1:55:00 | 24 min / km |
Bike | 26.37 km | 1:09:53 | 2:39 min / km |
Run | 8.16 km | 39:32 | 4:50 min / km |
All in all I am quite pleased with it and am looking forward to grind my way through the workouts.
Until next time, don't forget to be awesome :)
