Project: Sub 10 - week 6 (pushing on)

Another week is done and it was a great one!

Swimming is a no-go so I had to use strength training to try to replace it as good as possible.

I completed my long run from the week before and really enjoyed it. It was a 15K run in a little under 1:20 and I felt like I can go for hours.

My speed sessions were great and I kept pushing the last rep or two even harder than prescribed just because I felt so good.

I keep splitting the long bike session up so that more time for family is there and so far it’s working out great. My week ended with another 1 hour and 20 minute run which was even more enjoyable because of the colder weather we now have in Zagreb and I can really fell improving all the way with my endurance.

I keep telling my wife how sad I am that I have to wait for July of next week to race because I already feel so much better than the entire year :)

The next week will be another peak in my training as it’s the 3rd week in my 2nd cycle which will be followed by a rest week with an FTP test and a run threshold test so it’s time to kick it up a little more to have my results next week be as good as possible.

I am also making progress on my nutrition during training but I’ll talk about that next week.

Let’s crunch some numbers and head of into a new week

Distance       Swim       Bike       Run
Week 4.3 km 116.5 km 43.3 km
Total 13.8 km 571.1 km 164.7 km

Week 1:30 3:56 3:42 0:40
Total 8:31 20:30 8:26 4:31

Until next week,
Stay healthy
